Trainee accountant from Truro achieves top exam results Top exam results have been achieved by a trainee accountant from Bishop Fleming's Truro office.

Nicola Bray, who joined the accountants in 2004 as part of the Modern Apprenticeship scheme, came ninth in the world in her exams to allow her to qualify as a chartered accountant.

Her exam results also outperformed all of the other 32 candidates in the south-west region of England.

Ms Bray said: "The ACA qualification is very highly regarded, and I am proud to have achieved it through a working route, rather than a university degree course."

In addition to Ms Bray's most recent success, she was also awarded two prizes by the South West Society of Chartered Accountants for her final Business Change and Business Reporting exam results last summer.

Training partner at Bishop Fleming Alison Oliver said that she believes Ms Bray is a "superb role model" for other A Level students with the ambition to become qualified accountants.

Recently Claire Emmett, who is also based in Bishop Fleming's Truro office, also received an international prize for achieving the fourth highest average mark in a series of professional exams.
