The new finance director at law company Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has been named as Mark Tothill.
He joins the company from his previous role as acting chief financial officer and UK finance director of law firm Linklaters.
According to Director of Finance Online, Mr Tothill's experience extends outside the professional service industry as he also spent time in senior finance roles at Cable & Wireless.
Responsibilities in his new role will include leading BLP's finance team and concentrating on its financial performance going forward.
BLP's managing partner Neville Eisenberg believes that Mr Tothill will bring a "rich blend of experience which will prove invaluable in helping us to achieve our financial strategy".
According to Mr Tothill, the company has been one of the success stories in the legal market in recent years.
Last month Legal Week reported that the organisation had asked partners to contribute a total of up to £100,000 of extra capital into the firm.
