The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced a new education deal designed to boost the personal development of its members.
Due to a link-up with the University of York, more than 20 course units will be made available as part of an accelerated
masters degree project that individuals can take full-time, part-time or online.
This is the first time the University of York has signed such an agreement with a professional organisation and CIMA members will be provided with a 15 per cent discount on all e-masters courses.
Robert Jelly, the director of education at CIMA, commented that members would be able to develop strongly as part of the agreement and employers could use the opportunities to "win the war for talent".
"It provides a great way for CIMA members, particularly in the public sector and health industry, to further develop their careers," he said.
CIMA recently announced that it would be pumping resources into an advertising drive to promote its membership.
