Accountancy and business services firm Tenon has announced that Russell McBurnie is to become its new
finance director.
The 35-year-old joined the firm as group financial controller in 2005, having earlier qualified as a chartered
accountant for Deloitte & Touche and then worked as divisional
financial controller for passenger transport business First Group.
Tenon's chief executive officer Andy Raynor said he was pleased to be able to promote Mr McBurnie, adding: "Having worked closely with Russell in recent months, I know he will be an excellent finance director and an asset to the business."
In addition to the board appointment, Tenon has recruited Mark McRae from PKF to work as an audit and business services director in its Glasgow office.
Meanwhile, Louis Cooper has joined Horwath Clark Whitehill (HCW) as a partner in the accountancy firm's London-based risk and assurance division.
Mr Cooper joins HCW from a boutique corporate advisory firm, having earlier gained experience in a Big 4 environment.
