Energy services group Hunting has confirmed the appointment of Peter Rose as its new
finance director.
Mr Rose had spells with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Babcock before moving to Hunting in 1997.
He has since managed to work his way up to company secretary - a role he will continue to fill alongside his new responsibilities.
Commenting on Mr Rose's appointment, Hunting's chief executive Dennis Proctor said: "His in-depth knowledge of the business gained at a senior level will be vital as we continue to grow through our sound positioning in a strong and growing marketplace."
The decision to promote Mr Rose comes after Dennis Clark announced his retirement, having filled the finance director's role since the company's formation in 1989.
Mr Rose appears to be stepping up at a good time, as Hunting recently reported a 12 per cent rise in pre-tax profits for the year ending December 31st 2007.
