Marwood heading to the Gulf KPMG has announced that senior international tax partner Philip Marwood is to leave its London office at the end of May in order to take up a new job with the firm's Middle East and South Asia (MESA) operation.

He will become the head of international tax services for the region, with responsibility for forging closer links between the MESA and European practices.

Mr Marwood said he is "tremendously excited" about his new role in the Gulf, adding: "I see enormous potential for collaborative working between our KPMG firms in MESA and KPMG Europe and I will be looking to develop this to the full."

Rival Big 4 professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) has announced that Neil Hampson is to become its new global aerospace and defence leader.

Mr Hampson, who joined PWC from Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in 2005, has spent the past year as UK aerospace and defence leader and will continue in that role alongside his new one.
