Deloitte has appointed a new financial services
director responsible for leading its internal audit services aimed at the insurance sector.
Kevin Patience will join the firm from Aviva. His last position was as the director of internal audit for Norwich Union Insurance.
Mr Patience explained that all financial companies are suffering in the current challenging economic climate.
"It's great to join a firm that is a recognised market leader in helping internal audit teams respond to these challenges," he added.
"Having access to such a huge breadth and depth of skills across the firm also gives me tremendous confidence that we can really make a difference no matter how complex the challenge".
In other news, Mike McCusker has joined PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Accountancy Age has reported that Mr McCusker is leaving his position as head of tax at Grant Thornton to join the BIG 4 firm to help its new push into the small business market.
