Cima council member receives major honour The British Accounting Association (BAA) Education Special Interest Group has honoured Professor Trevor Hassall for his role in accounting education.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima) and received the accolade at the BAA annual conference in Seville.

Professor Hassall currently heads the Accounting and Business Education Research Unit at Sheffield Hallam University and received this latest honour for his "active and lasting involvement in accounting education throughout his career".

He also acts as a council member for the Cima, chairing its Examinations and Assessment Oversight Board.

Professor Hassall has previously been involved in developing the education syllabus which the Cima follows.

Cima recently appointed Brad Taylor as its head of human resources in its London headquarters.

Mr Taylor had previously worked as a business partner in the HR department and will implement new HR processes in all of Cima's international affiliated offices.
