Banksy mural makes old trailer worth £500,000 An old trailer could now be worth up to £500,000 due a paint job from an artistic friend.

Nathan Wellard and Maeve Neal, from King's Lynn, bought the two-bedroomed trailer eleven years ago for £1,000.

The couple then allowed their old friend, a little known artist at the time called Banksy, to give the trailer a new paint job. He called the piece Fragile Science.

Now, eleven years later, the vehicle could be worth up to half a million pounds as Banksy has found a huge following and his works of art have generated international acclaim

Ms Neal, 34, said: "We've seen the price of Banksy's work go up and up and we hope his generosity can help us build our new home.

"Banksy is a little mysterious but the man we know is someone who is really giving."

In 2007, ten prints by Banksy sold for £546,000 at London auction house Bonhams.

During the same week, Tower Hamlets announced that they would paint over Banksy's murals on walls in their area, branding them as vandalism.
