Chartered accountant sees turnover increase of ten per cent

Chartered accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has seen an increase of over ten per cent of its annual turnover.

The north-west based company has reported a fee income of over £7.43 million in 2007, reports Accountancy Magazine.

Figures show it is the sixth consecutive record annual turnover for the firm, with the latest figures displaying a 10.56 per cent increase on the previous 12 months.

It reported that significant growth had been seen in the firm's audit, accounting, tax and corporate finance departments.

David Darlington, Mitchell Charlesworth's managing partner, told the magazine: "Even though the UK economy is experiencing a slowdown, the vast majority of our clients are doing well and this is having a positive impact on our business

Earlier this year, Mitchell Charlesworth advised on a deal with a husband and wife who purchased the 176-year-old Bold Hotel in Southport for £3.7 million.
