Hillier Hopkins announces merger with tax advisory firm Accountancy firm Hillier Hopkins has announced a merger with tax advisers Badger Hakin.

The deal is designed to strengthen Hillier Hopkins' operations across the country, reports Accountancy Magazine.

Colin Howe, managing principal of Hillier Hopkins, told the website that the new deal can help the firm continue its "rapid growth" and "success as a major, independent firm" in Hertfordshire.

The merger means that the accountancy firm will now have a fourth office in London, together with two additional principals and 15 extra staff members.

Mr Howe added: "Both Badger Hakim and Hillier Hopkins share similar philosophies and are a great match for each other.

"Together we have an even more comprehensive range of expertise and a wider geographical base."

In other news, Grant Thornton has held a special week across its offices to promote staff wellbeing.

A number of issues such as health care, exercise and an image consultancy were implemented by the firm, reports employeebenefits.co.uk.
