Chris Evans accidentally throws out valuable Hirst print Chris Evans has managed to accidentally send a valuable Damien Hirst print to a charity shop in Surrey.

The BBC Radio 2 presenter had planned for the print, called dot picture, to go to the new home for him and his wife, Natasha Shishmanian.

He told listeners to his afternoon show that the print from the Turner Prize-nominated artist was "somewhere in a charity shop in Godalming".

The presenter admitted that he has visited shops in the area but "did not know" exactly which shop his belongings had been taken too.

Mr Evans said: "I've been moving house recently. Some of the stuff goes in boxes to stay and some to go. We took all the pictures down.

"In one of the boxes to go was a Damien Hirst print signed by Damien Hirst."

Damien Hirst became notorious in 1992 due to his work showcased at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

His artwork included a shark suspended in formaldehyde and was followed a year later with a cow and calf cut in half and preserved for display in the substance.
