Experts make predictions about graduate recruitment in 2028 Experts are already making predictions about graduate recruitment 20 years into the future.

Many recruitment specialists are claiming that students in 2028 will be no different from now and will still have large student loans, Personnel Today reports.

However, Heather Collier, director of the National Council for Work Experience, told the website that the graduates of 20 years' will need a much broader skills base.

Ms Collier explained that graduates in 2028 will need to focus on work experience and sandwich courses if they are to demonstrate that they are ready for employment.

She also suggested that graduates will be expected to multi-lingual, especially in popular business languages such as Mandarin and Portuguese.

Richard Doherty, sales director of talent management software consultancy Jobpartners, told the website that he believed changes in technology would be vital to take into account in 2028.

He went on to comment that virtual offices will enable graduates of the future to be able to work anywhere in the world.

This comes after news earlier this week that a number of top UK employers are concerned about poor reading and writing skills of graduates they take on.
