We have just launched our annual salary survey – the results of which will help you benchmark your salary while giving us an insight into the finance and accountancy profession in 2019.
Each year we ask our audience to supply the details of their daily working lives, from job title and location to salary and tenure, to feed into our annual Salary Insight Report.
2018’s report – available here in full – revealed that the GAAPweb audience were increasingly inclined to work in industry, with ‘Accountancy Practice’ falling out of the top 3 most popular sectors in favour of industries like manufacturing, retail and banking.
Last year also saw encouraging salary increases for junior finance professionals, with PQ Accountants and Accounts Assistants receiving year-on-year pay increases of 15% and 13% respectively.
Promisingly, women working in finance were closing the gender pay gap in 7 of the 24 job titles surveyed in 2018 – but males still out-earned their female counterparts by an average of £17,099 per year. Furthermore, with just 7% of CFO respondents identifying as female, the most senior of finance professionals remained male.
