AIA – CREATING WORLD CLASS ACCOUNTANTS

The Association of International Accountants (AIA) offers a range of qualifications and educational opportunities for candidates at all stages of their careers; from school-leavers, to graduates to those looking to enhance their employability or just looking for a change of direction.

With three routes to qualification as a professional accountant, AIA has something for everyone. From single QCF (Qualification and Credit Framework) units on a particular accountancy and finance topic, to QCF certificates and diplomas starting at Level 5, to the AIA Professional Accountancy Qualification and our Statutory Auditor Training Programme. Whichever route suits your needs, and whichever you choose, you can be guaranteed that the qualification produces candidates of the highest standard.

QCF UNITS, DIPLOMAS AND CERTIFICATES

AIA QCF units and qualifications offer employers greater flexibility to give your staff the training appropriate to their roles and responsibilities. Choose from single QCF units to bring employees up to speed on a particular subject area, or build up those units into one of our qualifications. AIA offers three qualifications through the QCF, from a Level 5 Certificate in Accountancy, comparable to accounting technician level, to a Level 6 Diploma in Accountancy, equivalent to degree level, and the Level 7 Diploma in Professional Accountancy, which when combined with three years' practical work experience they can achieve the AIA professional accountancy qualification.

AIA PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANCY QUALIFICATION

AIA professionally qualified accountants are equipped for an accountancy career in any sector, from SMEs to large multinational corporations. The skills, knowledge and professionalism conveyed by the AIA Professional Accountancy Qualification are sought after by organisations of all sizes and types, not just accounting firms.

Qualification is achieved through a combination of exam, testing theoretical knowledge, and three years’ work experience, putting those skills into practice. The AIA exams are split into three blocks, each of which build on the knowledge and skills achieved in the prior level; breaking the qualification down into easily achievable, bite-sized chunks and making it easy for the student to apply their expanding knowledge base in the work place, as they grow with their role and responsibilities.

AIA offers flexible study options, including AIA Achieve, which makes it easy to fit their professional studies around their work commitments.

AIA RECOGNISED PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION (AUDIT)

AIA, as a Recognised Qualifying Body (RQB) for statutory auditors under the Companies Act 2006, is recognised by the UK Government to qualify statutory auditors. Through a combination of study, exam and work experience, the AIA Statutory Auditor Training Programme will provide your employees with a Recognised Professional Qualification (RPQ) and will equip them with the relevant skills and competencies required to work confidently and efficiently in this challenging profession.

So whether you’re looking for the right candidate for an accountancy role, looking to upskill your existing workforce or are looking to increase your own employability, remember AIA is creating World Class Accountants.
