Finance Business Partner that reports to the Deputy Director of Finance and will work across the business with finance and non-finance stakeholders within the central operation functions. The role will be responsible for providing financial management and reporting while also preparing reports to meet our regulatory filing requirements as an HCA registered body and charity.

St Mungo's provides a bed and support to more than 2,500 people a night who are either homeless or at risk, and works to prevent homelessness, helping about 25,000 people a year. They believe no one should be homeless and that people can – and do – recover from the issues that create homelessness. St Mungo's support men and women through more than 200 projects including emergency hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services and specialist physical health, mental health, skills and work services.

Detailed Job Description

You will be responsible for working with central operations managers including corporate functions and fundraising, to understand and interpret their financial results. Ensuring these operations managers have the information at hand to make informed financial business decisions is core to this. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the central corporate functions and fundraising team in preparing budgets, monitoring monthly results and reporting monthly variances.
  • Preparation of St Mungo's monthly consolidated management accounts and annual budget.
  • Administration of the Finance Operating System – Open Accounts.

Candidate's Profile

You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong business reporting and partnering capabilities that can be evidenced through previous experience. The ability to produce reporting within regulatory frameworks would be highly beneficial but this does not have to be from within the housing or charity sector. 

Strong capabilities within systems and IT are required within this role and experience with implementation or improvement of financial systems would be highly beneficial. In addition, strong excel skills are required for this position.
