We are currently recruiting a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to work in our London Office which is based in London WC2A 1AL.  The successful candidate must have a desire to broaden their experience and career in accounting and tax.  

Job Description

The successful candidate will work as an integral member of our Accounting and Tax teams which have responsibility for the provision of Financial Reporting, VAT and Tax compliance services to client companies.  Training will be provided to develop the successful candidate’s technical skills with a view to developing them to the accountant level.  

Duties include: 

•    Preparation of bookkeeping for client companies in order to produce financial statements 
•    Preparation of a first draft of less complex financial statements for review
•    Providing support to the team in the areas of accounts preparation; corporation tax returns preparation and VAT returns preparation
•    Assisting with the preparation and dispatch of correspondence
•    Maintaining and updating control spreadsheets
•    Other duties as assigned


•    AAT Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant
•    2+ years experience in accounts preparation in a practice environment
•    Basic understanding of Corporate Financial Reporting and VAT ideally gained from practice  
•    Excellent attention to detail and highly numerate
•    Ability to multi-task in an efficient, methodical manner
•    Good verbal and written communication skills
•    Computer literacy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
