About the role:

Based in Luton this German speaking Commercial Finance Manager position is business critical. You will work closely with senior management on seeking improvements of profitability to the business, forecasting and financial analysis.

Your duties will include the following duties:

• Manage the commercial P&L and Flash reporting, analysing root causal variance to budget and reporting variances to relevant internal teams and to external customers
• Ensure Profit-sharing, Commission calculations and processing are done correctly and in a timely manner
• Develop budget and forecast models and projections in conjunction with the operating units as required
• Develop and maintain direct strategic relationship with the customer Retail Team, communicating trends and gap analysis, active engagement to enhance on-going partnerships
• Quantification of cost savings through P&L reconciliations and through direct communication across the business, actively challenging the business on financial related issues
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Produce figures by current bases
• Analyse and give recommendations on account performance, identify gaps against the contractual agreement, investigate deviations against account budget/targets, and proactively communicate opportunities based on trends and historical data
• Minimise ad hoc work by building systematic processes around consistently repeating business problems and/or through calibrating customer expectations
• Attend and participate senior meetings as required

Commercial Finance Manager's applying should fit the following criteria:

• Fully qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
• Fluent in German
• 3 to 4 years finance experience (intended only as a guide)
• 1 to 3 years post qualified experience an advantage
• Prior experience supervising others and successfully leading small teams preferred
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and SAP Business Warehouse preferred
