Senior Financial Accountant

If so, Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a proactive and forward thinking Senior Financial Accountant to work for a highly reputable client based in Rotherham.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

-Responsibility for the timely and accurate production of the monthly financial statements and associated reporting
-Ensuring Accounting policies and controls are continuously reviewed maintained and policed
-Reconciliation and corrective action on all balance sheet accounts
-Cash, tax and treasury
-Reporting of financial information to parent company
-Production of the annual statutory accounts and corporation tax return
-Management of a team of two accountants
-Performance reviews and development
-Associate engagement
-Continuous improvement approach to the way the department is run.
-Oversee the analysis of overhead variance analysis to budget / forecasts
-Lead for all internal and external audits
-Financial Management of customer rebates
-UK lead for internal controls management
-Performance of other financial and administrative and ad hoc tasks as required

The successful Senior Financial Accountant will need to be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

-ACA/ACCA Qualified
-Ability to deliver accurate and timely financial accounting information, operating within the required controls framework
-Strong audit background
-Strong Excel skills
-The ability to work well as a team as well as take ownership for own and teams performance
