This is an opportunity for a bright and driven individual with a technical accounting background (ideally from a Top 4 Audit firm) to make a career in the Group Finance team of a business with an impressive growth rate, with £400m t/o and operating in 41 countries.
You will be an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant, ideally from a Top 4 Firm, and be looking for your first move into industry within a highly regarded and internationally renowned business. Experience of working with large international organisations will be an advantage, as will the willingness to travel.
In addition to core technical accounting skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take ownership of projects, identify areas of improvements, provide solutions and be able to carrying these through to implementation.
*Prepare monthly consolidations for a group of 60 companies / branches
*Prepare quarterly group consolidated statutory accounts for the bank and statutory accounts for 12 UK companies
*Prepare corporation tax returns for 12 UK companies
*Manage the process of intercompany recharges and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations
*Work closely with the Treasury Manager to identify and resolve intercompany issues
*Maintain reconciliations between management accounts and statutory accounts
*Review monthly submissions from subsidiary companies, identifying areas of incompleteness, error or risk
*Provide feedback, training and support to Regional finance teams as required
*Assist Group Financial Accountant in implementing new processes and procedures across the group
*Assist Group Financial Accountant in monitoring and managing the global tax position
*Assist as required to ensure the smooth running of the year-end audit
*Support the Group Financial Accountant in delivering projects across the group
