Key accountabilities will include facilitating successful business performance through robust leadership and the commercial management of finance across a key divisional P&L and all aspects of corporate finance, acting as a genuine business partner by providing strategic advice to business leaders, building and maintaining sustainable relationships with wider business teams, understanding the commercial and regulatory environment within which the group operates, challenging when necessary existing business performance and decision making, tracking key risks and opportunities versus budget / forecast, ensuring the timely provision of reliable monthly performance reports, supporting budget holders by efficiently managing spend, presenting consolidated budgets and forecasts for ExCo review, overseeing the corporate services function from a finance perspective including HR and IT departments, validating key commercial assumptions whilst ensuring the appropriate governance is in place, identifying growth areas and new markets, delivering high levels of performance from the commercial finance team through guidance and coaching.
The successful candidate will be a 'fast track', qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with first class financial management skills. Applicants will have significantly contributed to experienced senior leadership teams and possess the gravitas required to win the respect of such audiences. Demonstrable experience of having successfully operated within fast paced, changing business environments is key and the ability to energetically lead teams is an essential prerequisite.
