Finance Manager/Financial Controller Role for Manufacturer in North Manchester

Your new company
The company are a manufacturer part of a larger group in the Oldham area. Over the past couple of decades, they have cemented themselves as one of the key manufacturer's in the area.

Your new role
You will have a broad and all round role which will include:
Control of net working capital ('NWC') - analysing and forecasting inventories, receivables, payables, capital expenditure and profitability - suggesting remedial action where appropriate.
Monthly intercompany balance reconciliations, revaluations and netting payments. Oversee movement of funds between international subsidiaries and parent companies.
Responsible for reporting monthly results in a timely manner, with explanatory commentary on sales, deductions, standard margin, production variances and overheads, to Group Controlling.
Responsible for the completion and submission of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Including a full profit and loss (sales, production volumes, standard costs, production variances and overheads) and balance sheet within deadlines set.
Support other department heads in the completion of their annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will also need at least 5 years experience in a finance role, with the majority as a manager. You will also need the commercial acumen to be the number 1 on site and represent finance to the group. Lastly, you will need a strong costing background.

What you'll get in return
You will get a negotiable salary, but it will likely be up to £50,000. You will also get the opportunity to run the finance department for the site. You will also gain brilliant management experience and this could be a great stepping stone into progressing towards being a large company FC or SME/MME FD.
