Are you a results driven, commercially astute Financial Controller seeking interim assignments allowing you to influence change and drive efficiencies? Are you currently immediately available or available at short notice? If so and you are looking for a challenging new assignment either on a company payroll or ltd company basis please get in touch.
Elevation Recruitment Group are working alongside a prestigious firm in Sheffield, assisting with the recruitment of a Financial Controller on an interim basis, for a period of 12 months.
The role has been created to support the Financial Director during a business critical period as they look to improve processes and controls within the business. This is a pivotal role designed to positively impact a planned period of growth, therefore requires someone with a sound technical skill set as well as an adaptable approach.
The main duties will include:
- Supporting the Financial Director with the day to day management of the transactional functions (including sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll and general ledger) and accounting processes in line with Group policies
- Full responsibility for balance sheet control and reconciliations to ensure the financial integrity of the company's management accounts
- Preparation of the monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheet and management information pack in line with the group reporting timetable
- Treasury management and cashflow forecasting
- Preparation of forecasts and budgets in conjunction with the Finance Management team
- Ensure financial procedures are appropriate and necessary controls are in place
- Working closely alongside FD in terms of strategy for process improvement and streamlining efficiencies
- Assisting with the identification of key developmental areas to assist with the continued growth of the business
In order to be considered for this role, applicants will possess the following skills:
-ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified
-Significant experience of operating at FC level within large organisations
-Proven track record of supporting businesses with process improvement
-Strong systems experience
-Excellent accounting skills and the ability to use this to develop an existing team
-Strong commercial acumen
