Elevation Recruitment Group's Interim Finance Practice are looking to recruit a UK Tax Manager for a 12 month period to work with an established business near Doncaster.

The main purpose of the role will allow the successful candidate to work closely alongside the Financial Controller and support the business with the transfer of the Tax function from a separate site of the business. You will be tasked to maximise the cash flow advantage and lead the UK Tax team to provide direct and indirect tax advice in line with commercial objectives.

Duties and responsibilities will include:
-Managing and set up of UK tax team
-Overseas tax planning work
-Evaluating and coordinating advice from UK tax team specialists
-Working in conjunction with other internal departments to influence tax and operational best practices and influencing policy
-Ensure rigorous tax accounting and regulatory compliance processes for all tax regimes are in place
-Leading the teams approach on new and emerging tax ideas
-Managing UK risk profile
-Advising of direct and indirect international tax transactions impacting UK
-Taking decisions as to when to engage with external advisors and suppliers
-Managing relationships, budgets and services supplied by external advisors to the business
-Managing HMRC relationships
-Coordinating and supporting tax audits / tax authority enquiries

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

-Ideally hold a Chartered Accountancy Qualification (ICAEW or Chartered Tax Qualification)
-Member of Chartered Accountant or Member Chartered Tax is desirable
-Experienced in identifying opportunities to save tax, reduce costs and mitigate risks
-Demonstrate a proactive in bringing forward ideas, drive for results and interpersonal effectiveness
