Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join an exciting Healthcare company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

£45,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Reporting and forecasting of the UK business to both the local management team and Europe looking at volume and pricing, gross margins, VSE, S&M expenses and headcount with explanations of trends, movements and variances
  • Sales commissions - provision of sales data and calculation of sales rep monthly commissions
  • UK management teams support: Being a member of the UK management team, provide financial advice and guidance to support the business and help drive profitable sales growth
  • Sales Reporting: Provide monthly sales analysis, complementing with additional insights
  • Customer sales analysis including sales contract reviews and rebate calculations
  • Month-end accounting: supporting the accounts team in ensuring the accounts are accurately recorded at the end of the month in SAP and support a quarterly balance sheet review of the UK legal entity
  • Inventory Control: Assessment & calculation of E&O provision; assist in maintaining appropriate level of MIOH
  • Sales & Marketing expense support: Invoice approval; reporting & control
  • Compliance: Appropriate accrual and tracking of HCP grants, agreements & expenses
  • Support the accounting team in their interaction with external auditors
  • Ad hoc support and projects

Person specification:

  • Accounting qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • 5+ year's experience of working in a similar Accounting or Finance position
  • Understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Ability to analyse business issues, provide simple summaries with recommended solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and respect deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and lead process improvement
  • Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint
