Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a fluent German speaking Controller to join an exciting Manufacturing company experiencing huge growth based in Gloucester. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£40,000 - £50,000 plus excellent benefits
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Taking responsibility for accounting, reporting and financial analysis for the German business
- Provide support for other EMEA entities as required
- Be 'hands on' in completing accounting and reporting work to meet committed deliverables as required
- Review the work of other accountants to ensure quality and accuracy
- Analysing and interpreting financial accounts and communicating results effectively
- Managing accounting process deliverables and progress against deadlines
- Liaison with external auditors on all accounting and audit issues
- Input into the statutory accounts production process
- Working with the US finance function to understand and deliver group requirements
- Ad-hoc query management and finance project support
Person specification:
- Qualified/Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Fluent in German - both verbal and written (essential)
- Be able to show competence in using varying accounting systems including extracting and analysing data
- Good understanding of accounting control processes
- At least 3 years experience of working in a financial reporting function, preferably with experience of group reporting, statutory account delivery and auditor liaison
- Ability to analyse and interpret financial results
- Drive and commitment to achieving targets and deadlines
