A market leading logistics business are recruiting for a first rate analyst to head up the Sales Analysis team in Liverpool. This role is critical to driving profitable growth within the business in both supporting the Sales function to win/retain business and ensuring effective compliance as the commercial functions.
As the Head of Commercial Analytics you will:
- Lead the team (3 Direct Reports) that undertake analytics of trading (billing) and new business (Salesforce pipeline)
- Provide an internal customer service to the sales team allowing salespeople to optimise the time and energy on clients and prospects
- Ability to distil large, complex datasets, imparting insight swiftly, efficiently and visually
- Ensure that dashboards are in place that allow smart resourcing of qualified pipeline opportunities
- Manage the interconnecting systems that drive reporting and work collaboratively with other functional areas to identify and build better long term solutions
- Evaluate the performance of different markets and sales initiatives and their impact on overall revenue performance
- Continuous improvement approach to the 'management packs' provided acting on key stakeholder feedback
- Provide Management Information on a weekly cycle that feeds Board meetings and ensures full visibility of performance to Executive team
- Oversee sales commission scheme to ensure that reward mechanisms are handled effectively and right payments made to sales teams at the right time
- Develop relationship with Channel Directors (and Sales Performance Managers) to drive the sales process and ensure compliance to process throughout the sales cycle
- Work with Channel Directors to coordinate sales targets, performance KPIs and measurement for the full team including a analysis that feeds weekly cycle of Channel performance reports
- Champion sales processes to ensure excellence in on-boarding and retention of clients
- To communicate seamlessly across all business functions to ensure effective team working
As the Head of Commercial Analytics, you will be:
- Highly skilled in finance and reporting systems (including Excel, Access, Terradata, Salesforce.com and Tableau)
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
- Ambitious and driven with flexible mindset
- Track record in supporting teams
- Understanding of the multi-channel retailer model
- Experience of working within a highly competitive and pressurised operating environment
- Excellent I.T skills, experience in working with Word, Salesforce.com, Excel and Power Point
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
