Commercial Accountant

My client is a large reputable manufacturing company based in Knowsley seeking a Commercial Accountant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA, have excellent communication skills and be able to contribute to the success of the business

A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Analyst within their head office. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will support the Group and regional teams to ensure that Group wide decision making and strategic planning activities. You will build a very close relationship with group and operations, and ensure that processes and reporting is as accurate as possible.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinating provision of profitability data across sites liaising with regional/country/site controllers as necessary
* Providing Piece Price Breakdowns to support major operational quotes in Europe
* Coordinating the provision of costing and other data for decision support activities
* Undertake/coordinate benchmarking between sites/countries/regions to identify and support improvement projects in the sites.
* Providing costing support to SAP and non-SAP sites and driving process improvements
* Standardisation of costing and cost of production data within the business sites
* Provide data support for Strategic Planning work undertaken by the business sites
* Maintain set of Standard Operating Procedures setting out key principles to be followed by the Controllers.
* Provide training and support in the event of problems at specific sites.

The Successful Candidate

* Educated to degree level or equivalent, to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* The job holder should have good process skills, an understanding of product costing, had some exposure to SAP and be able to analyse data to support business decisions.
* Strong communication skills will be required.
