The Role

Robert Half Finance and Accountancy are hiring for an Internal Auditor for a FTSE 100 business based in Northampton. This is a newly-created, permanent, full-time position.

Reporting into the Senior Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor will fulfil a group-wide role focusing on financial and operational assurance. At times he or she will need to undertake special investigations and projects in conjunction with the Head of Audit.

The successful candidate will need to have the ability to produce accurate professional audit reports through strong attention to detail, and will be able to identify and communicate risk exposures to management.

You will develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships in order to deliver effective outcomes, and will draw upon your commercial acumen to make sound judgements about how to improve business control and performance.

After 2 years in the position you will have the choice to stay and progress through the internal audit function or to move into a wider finance position with the business - As such this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move out of audit in the long term.


Your Profile

The company are looking to hire an ACA qualified auditor who has trained in a mid-to-large size accounting practice and is looking to make their first move into industry.

The ideal candidate is likely to be at assistant manager or manager level within their firm, but candidates who qualified more recently will also be considered.

Salary & Benefits

Salary on offer is in the region of £45,000 to £55,000 + 15% bonus and a generous benefits package.
