A key hire within the Group function, this role would suit an individual who has a naturally inquisitive nature when it comes to accounting standards and technical queries. Key responsibilities: • Providing technical support across the business; • Producing accounting policy memoranda relating to a series of complex issues affecting the business on a global basis, including but not limited to revenue recognition, share-based payments and good will impairment; • Resolving issues under various GAAPs’ including but not limited to functional currency determinations, regulatory requirements concerning auditor rotation, capitalisation of IT project costs, accounting for depreciation and impairment assessments; • Advising the group on regulatory changes to ensure the group remains compliant; • Support the strategic direction of the business by providing technical advice and guidance that arise due to M&A activity; • Responsible for tracking, managing and resolving technical complaints across the business and ensuring training and processes are updated to improve service; • Take the lead on creating a culture of ‘best in class’ from a technical accounting perspective. The ideal candidate will: • Be ACA/CA/CPA from a big 4 accountancy firm; • Be suited to an environment that requires a SME on a variety of technical accounting issues; • Have experience working in large technology/software businesses; • Be able to communicate complex accounting issues to senior stakeholders and influence their actions moving forwards. Interested candidates should send their CV to Lisa Bird.
