Financial Controller

The Financial Controller owns the monthly reporting process and is responsible for the accuracy of the financial information. They are responsible for preparing the monthly reporting packs for distribution to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Preparation of the monthly group management reporting packs (in excel)
• Responsibility for the financial reporting for 16 group companies on a monthly basis
• Preparation of month-end file for all reporting entities including balance sheet reconciliations
• Working closely with the Management Accountants and Commercial Accountant to ensure the accuracy of financial information
• Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all group companies
• Review and sign-off of twice monthly supplier and expense payment runs
• Overseeing the production of statutory returns (including VAT, Office Of National Statistics and overseas filings)
• Assist GFC with cash flow forecasting and other treasury matters
• Assist GFC with provision of information to external auditors and tax advisors
• Other ad hoc tasks as required

Skills/Experience:

• ACA qualified with a proven track record of delivering excel driven month end reporting
• Very good technical accounting skills
• Strong excel and IT skills (with experience of a mainstream accounting package desirable) and an ability to understand and develop complex excel workbooks
