Financial Controller

Marks Sattin is currently working in partnership with an Fast track 100, SME business in helping to recruit a credible number 2 in finance. The role of Financial Controller will be responsible for the full suit of accounting including production monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, commentary and analysis for the board and management teams. In addition this role will oversee the seamless production of the transactions in managing a small reporting team. Other responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the correct process and controls are in place and fit for a growing business
• Tender and pitch work including contract review and bridging a partnership with operations
• Development of in-house accounting systems
• Various MI, cash flow analysis and project accounting
• Delivery of performance metrics and KPI's
• Production of statutory accounts
• Overseeing the payroll process
• Corporate taxes, VAT returns and any other taxes are submitted and processed correctly

Ideally this role is targeting a qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA accountant with post qualified experience. This role will get a huge degree of exposure in the business and with external advisors. It is essential that you have the aptitude to pick up commercial concepts and deliver solutions to the group including non financial operational partners. This is an excellent role and business and one that would suit either a Finance Manager wishing to step up or FC wanting a new challenge.
