FTSE100 seeking a Group Internal Audit Associate to perform/assist in the performance of audits.
About the role
To assist Group Internal Audit management in reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of internal processes, systems and controls. This includes risk management, control and governance systems and processes and adherence to, and application of, appropriate internal systems and controls, procedures and policies.
To perform / assist in the performance of internal audits under the direction of Group Internal Audit management. To assist the GIA management team in ad hoc analysis and other work as required.
The business may require the job holder to travel to other locations to deliver activities outside of their normal place of work.

What you will do:
Perform / assist in the performance of audits under the guidance of Head of Audit - Non FS & Central
Assist in the production of TORs and Audit Reports.
Assist in populating Protiviti with all relevant documentation throughout the audit and delivery in line with the approved GIA methodology.
Assist in the generation of relevant MI as required by GIA or business management.
Perform ad hoc data analysis and other work at the request of Head of Audit - Non FS & Central
Assist in delivery of audits in line with agreed plan
Update audit and issue database as requested by Head of Audit - Non FS & Central
Contribute to investigations as required
Take responsibility for agreeing own objectives and personal development plan
Plan technical training to maintain own competency
Assist in ensuring all audit and other activity is in line with standards set out in Capita Group Internal Audit Manual
Work to maintain good relationships with Group / Functional / GIA management.
Your experience will include:
Newly-qualified accountant or finalist, ACA/ACCA preferred, however we will consider Part Qualified Accounts Assistants or Financial Accountants looking for audit experience.
Relevant industry experience is preferred; experience in a large public practice accountancy firm is also relevant.
Proficient at assisting in audits with some supervision
Good verbal and written communication skills
Data analytics skills is an advantage
Ability to use relevant software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Effective time management, planning and organisational skills
