Qualified Financial Controller in a Times top 100 Professional services Company
My client is a world leader and times top 100 Tech track member, in delivering the recruitment of professional teaching. The successful candidate will have exposure to every aspect of professional services and will be directly involved with the transformation of the international finance department. My client will provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to gain expertise in every aspect of professional recruitment, within a London based company that is comprehensive scope and collaborative in character. Having experienced high demand for their services internationally and in line with their continued growth plans, they are now looking to acquire a new Financial Controller.
In your new role your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and you will be expected to provide a strong base of support in the reporting of annual financial accounts. The role will also require the successful candidate to effectively business partner with the Managing Director to provide commentary on cost analysis and revenue performance. The role will require the successful accountant to have had experience with commission and payroll. Additionally you will be asked to:
- Conduct investigations of variances with the intention of challenging assumptions being made by commercial partners.
- Produce monthly forecasts and investigate
-Regularly liaise with the Managing Director to report the progression and performance
- Effectively manage a finance team of 7 with the intention of bringing in a Managing Accountant beneath you
-Provide budgeting and forecasting support directly to the managing director
In your new role you will have to be a newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) with previous exposure of commission structures and commercial business partnering. You will also show an ability to work with a commercial mind-set and provide value-adding insight and commentary in a large international business. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential when liaising with non-financial stakeholders. Whilst management skills will be needed to maximise the performance of staff.
The offer to the successful Financial Controller will be in the range of £55,000-£60,000.
