Accounts Receivable Assistant

Athwal Resourcing are recruiting an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant for a highly successful family operated multi-sited business to work as a key member of their accounts team.

Main duties:

Cash Management
* Allocated all incoming cash to ensure all bank accounts are reconciled back to entries from AR ledger;
* Reconcile the cheque/cash takings from branches to bank accounts and investigate any entries whilst completing the bank reconciliations;
* Daily processing of manual payments;
* To record accounting entries including BACS, Credit Cards, receipts and refunds;
* Assist with the chasing of aged and current debt;
* Allocate payments to customer accounts, preparing & posting receipts allocate to customers account;

Sales Ledger
* Reconciliation of control accounts;
* Control of monthly invoicing activity;
* Processing and raising sales invoices on a monthly basis;
* Set up customers' accounts;
* On monthly basis invoice run and distribute to customers;
* Raising credit notes and refunds;
* Credit control dutites;
* Weekly sales reports for management by branch;

Query Management
* Deal and resolve customer payment queries;
* Reporting and follow-up of open items with Client managers and/or 3rd parties;
* Liaise and build good relations with customers, internal branches and business units;
* Investigation and follow-up of exceptions;
* Chasing locations and external clients for remittance information.

The Ideal person:
* Previous experience of working within an Accounts Receivable role;
* GCSE's or equivalent in English and Maths;
* High customer service focus;
* Good oral and written communication skills;
* Attention to detail;
* Good IT skills are also required within the role with experience of Excel, Word, Outlook;
* Worked with an ERP System;
