Our client, a leading supplier into the construction sector is seeking a commercially focused Financial Controller to help the MD to drive the business forward. Established for over 20 years, the company has achieved continuous success by consistently delivering efficient, quality and customer orientated services.
The business has grown significantly over the past five years and they have identified the need to appoint a Qualified Financial Controller to deliver the following:
The newly created position of Financial Controller has four clear purposes:
1.To ensure the business is run in a compliant way and that the finance function has strong controls and processes to deliver management reporting within a 10 day period
2.Provide sound financial advice and guidance to the Managing Director and the senior management team
3.Introduce budgeting, forecasting and cash management along with KPI's and management information
4.Improve performance and profitability
Skills, Knowledge, Experience
• Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Previous experience working within an SME environment desirable
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to add value
• Highly Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include advanced Excel
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels
• Organisation skills - able to prioritise and plan own and teams work load
• Ability to analyse data, interpret & relay information
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting skills. Ability to present variances and improve performance
