This is an exciting opportunity to work in a varied role in a well-established, very successful and expanding business which is part of an International group in the Toys and Games industry. We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

The focus of the role is financial reporting, which includes management as well as statutory reporting and you will therefore have strong technical accounting skills and a flair for being able to clearly communicate accounting information to both financial and non-financial managers across the business. 

The variety and complexity of the role is ideally suited to someone who has established their career in practice or has performed in a similar role elsewhere and is able to proactively engage with colleagues within the Group and subsidiary companies. You will be able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to your work and problem solving from your previous roles.

This role reports to the Financial Controller and working closely with the rest of the accounting team, your key responsibilities will be:-

> Preparation of Management and Statutory Accounts in accordance with accounting standards and Company policy
> Accurately reflect financial information in our accounts
> Maintenance and review of monthly general ledger journals with respect to financial transactions (including instruments) prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
> Timely application of balance sheet controls including those in foreign currencies
> Group Reporting and commentary including review and control of intercompany accounts
> Systems development work
