An agile and commercially focused consumer business are currently seeking a Project Accountant to work in one of their key locations in this newly created role. The business has enjoyed significant growth in recent years, investing significantly in their infrastructure and development.
The role will involve taking on some of the responsibilities of the Head of Group Reporting and being the finance representative on a number of projects. You will be an integral part of the team who are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting.
In this role you can expect to work and support other key stakeholders and ensure matters are dealt with in accordance with business procedures and conform to relevant compliance and regulatory requirements. You will undertake detailed investigations where appropriate and provide guidance and leadership in the resolution of queries and issues. You will deliver effective and meaningful outcomes in relation to business projects.
With strong technical accounting knowledge and demonstrable experience of advising senior management on financial reporting issues, you will have exceptional financial reporting skills and a strong understanding of a range of reporting standards. You will have the ability to adapt information to present to non-finance people and confident to challenge when required. You should be able to prioritise and meet challenging, changing deadlines.
