Company Accountant

Macildowie are working exclusively with a £3m t/o organisation that have rapid growth plans for the next 3-5 years. Due to these exciting development plans our customer is now looking to appoint an experienced Company Accountant to help facilitate and drive the development of the business.

This role is suitable for an individual who operates well within a varied and diverse organisation. You will work closely with the Managing Director on strategic planning and monthly reporting and budget activities, however due to the leanness of the operation you must also be willing to drive activity around office management and payroll.

Responsibilities
Strategic financial planning
Monthly Preparation of management accounts & budget update
Day to day cash management
Check all purchase/sales ledgers
Prepare & submit VAT returns
Prepare year end pack for auditors
Systems creation/implementation
Internal Audit
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant and ideal hold chartered status. You must be able to demonstrate your competence in all the above areas within a SME. In addition to work experience, you must be comfortable operating within a small finance team and be happy and willing to role your sleeves up and deliver more routine admin and finance tasks alongside hitting strategic objectives.
