Elevation Senior Finance are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on behalf of a Major Service organisation based in West Yorkshire.
Reporting to the Head Of Financial Accounting you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the companies ledgers, whilst being in full control of the balance sheet. You will be a key contact for the external auditors and provide accounting support to the subsidiaries covering reporting, controls and compliance.
Key Responsibilities will include:
*Maintenance of general ledgers
*Shared ownership with FC's of balance sheet inputs
*Reporting of financial accounting information as requested
*Manage month-end process and timescales
*GL / balance sheet reconciliations - review, sign off and follow up on a monthly basis and any discrepancies investigated and resolved
*Review of VAT returns/Intrastat/NSO returns
*Provision of monthly, quarterly and annual statutory information to parent company
*Tax packs to parent company
*Cash flow management and forecasting
*Management of fixed assets, verification and control
*Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS and the external audit
*Comply with internal and external financial policies, standards and controls, whilst understanding the impact of own role on other areas
*Work with the business to drive, improve and enhance controls, documentation and the control framework
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a professional practice background backed up with at least one year within an industry based technical accounting role.
