Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst

Macildowie are currently supporting a rapidly growing Software company based in central Nottingham who are looking to appoint a Business Partner to work within their central finance function for a period of between 2 to 6 months.

This commercially focused Business Partner will report directly to the Head of Finance and take ownership of managing the central cost base and overheads for Finance, HR, IT and CRM. This highly visible role will work closely with the Divisional Heads of the multiple functions but also with Audit and Corporate real estate.

Role:
Effectively managed the Cost Base and overheads budget and review these with the Head of Finance to ensure that targets were met and all costs kept in line with forecasts.
Build effective working relationships with Heads of Departments and provide support with their central costs budgets.
Challenge Heads of Departments on costs and ensure commercial awareness to enable the budget holders to minimise costs and effectively account for over and under spends.
Raising month-end accruals and expense journal entries
Preparation of annual divisional budgets and quarterly forecasting.

All applicants with have experience of providing commercial challenge and support to non finance operations within a fast paced and complex environment. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, however part and qualified by experience (QBE) applicants with relevant experience will also be considered. Finally all applicants will have to make an impact from day one and, as providing insight and challenge will be key to this position, an outgoing, bright, confident and commercially astute individual will be essential.
