Your new role:

As a an Assistant Audit Manager you will be responsible for the project management of the end to end Audit, right from initially scoping the Audit, planning, execution and report writing. Critically you will assist the Audit manager in getting the best out of the audit team who will be at the heart of the 'hands on' auditing as well as getting involved on these audits yourself. You will face off to both internal and external stakeholders alike, pushing back to the Audit Committee internally on best audit practice and improvements, as well as providing advisory to the clients you are working with on best practice and on control frameworks to mitigate risk. You will also, importantly, have budget responsibility for the audit and where issues arise, ensure all information is available for senior management. You will also have a responsibility for spotting opportunities to further the business interests with your client base.

What you'll need to succeed:

Previous similar audit experience is paramount, as is experience of bringing on and coaching junior members of the team whilst ensuring your day to day workload is completed. Education to degree level will support newly ACA / ACCA or ICAS qualification as well as working knowledge of IFRS and US / UK GAAP. You will ideally have experience of advising FS clients and will have a good compliance, financial reporting and AML knowledge.
