Accounts and Audit Manager

Royston, Hertfordshire/ Cambridgeshire Border. A leading ambitious Accountancy Firm are looking for an Accounts and Audit Manager to join their growing team.

Reporting into the Partners you will be joining a forward thinking firm who boast high staff retention and internal progression. Providing a full range of services to a varied client base across the region and further afield you will be joining a social team and firm who have been accredited 'ones to watch' for best companies and recognised by investor's in people.

The role will be 60% accounts work incorporating related tax computations and 40% audit work. You would be overseeing a portfolio of clients from sole traders through to large OMB's being the main point of contact for any queries that may occur through the accounting/ audit process. As a Manager you will mentor junior staff, provide support on complex accounts when required and review work accordingly making sure work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner in pre-agreed time frames. You will lead and review audit work as required with the needs of the business, including planning and completion meetings on client premises allowing you to provide advice on system improvements.

The successful applicant will be ACA/ACCA qualified with prior experience in both an accounts and audit capacity. This will suit an experienced Senior Accountant looking for their next step or an ambitious Assistant Manager who is limited at their current place of work. You will be able to show good leadership, motivate and build lasting relationships with staff and clients alike.

Salary £42,000- £47,000 (DoE)
