I have just been out to see my client in Derbyshire who is looking for a Financial Controller with a can-do attitude and someone confident enough to help the business push forward.

This SME Company is a company that is moving forward with year on year growth, recent new additions to the team and an increasing market share.

Reporting to the Finance Director, your day to day responsibilities will be managing a small but busy junior team and getting the most out of each person through insight and training. Your day to day responsibilities will be producing management accounts, financial reporting, budgets and forecasts, Pensions and Costings. Their environment is open and they are looking for a confident person to input the financial controls so you will have an opportunity to get involved and input your own ideas and experiences. One area they would like to focus on is stock management. They want someone to project lead on stock control and being able to link it to the finished product and in line with profitability. You will liaise across the company with many departments including purchasing and sales. You too will lead the Audit process at year end so you will be someone with high attention to detail.

Ideally you will be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) but they too will look at someone who is part qualified or someone who is also qualified by experience. My client is looking for someone who has worked in a SME environment currently or previously. They would look to pay up to £45k for the right person.
