Our client, a well renowned and recognised leader in the health and leisure sector, is looking to source a bright and enthusiastic Commercial Business Partner to join their fast-paced, expanding team. The purpose of the role is to provide strategic analysis and planning across the business, both finance and non-finance. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join an organisation that has a strong track record of encouraging value adding individuals to reach their full potential

Key responsibilities:

-Business partnering with the marketing team, looking at pricing and promotional strategies.
-Creating effective action plans to drive profitability
-Regularly reviewing and creating an analytical assessment of the business including results against forecast/ plan.
-Producing detailed business performance reports for the board of directors
-Reviewing and implementing processes to ensure efficient practice throughout the finance team
-Providing commercially sound financial analysis for ad hoc projects, including cost effectiveness, operational capability and commercial viability.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong academic background (A's and B's at A Level, 2.1 from a Redbrick University) and two years post qualified experience working for a leisure related organisation. The position will suit someone who has experience playing a pivotal role within a fluid finance function and who enjoys bringing the best out of others.

Recent growth within the business has led to a revised budget and forecasting process which in turn has brought about the need for additional departmental expertise. The chosen candidate will have an open mind as to what can be achieved in a short time frame, be able to challenge the status quo at all times and most importantly provide workable solutions every step of the way with a positive and creative mind-set. The position will provide for huge exposure to the business as a whole and therefore a pre-requisite for any application must be the ability to build rapport at all levels and influence decision makers and stakeholders when appropriate.
