Financial Planning and Reporting Manager

The opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant with a commercial approach to join a FTSE 250 Retailer as their Financial Planning and Reporting Manager.

Client Details

My client is a FTSE 250 retail business based in central London with a strong UK presence. They own and run high-street and travel retail sites across the UK with revenues in excess of £1bn. As a result of an adjusted focus within the finance function there is a new opportunity for a Financial Planning and Reporting Manager.

Description

As the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager your role will be to drive accurate and timely reporting by region and business line from the London head office. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting with a strong emphasis placed on reviewing team performance;

-Driving improvements in accuracy and efficiency of reporting processes;

-Lead role on the planning cycle including budgeting and forecasting;

-Manage capex forecasting for the UK business (e.g. store refurbishment appraisals);

-Ad hoc reporting for the FC and CFO as requested.

Profile

As a strong applicant for the Financial Planning and Reporting Manager position you will:

-Be an ACA qualified accountant with an audit background (top tier practice preferred);

-Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, specifically in relation to IFRS;

-Show strong exposure to management of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes (ideally in a multi-site retail/fmcg environment);

-Possess strong leadership skills, previous management responsibility is preferred;

-Have excellent communications skills with an ability to interact successfully at all levels of the business.

Job Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be between £60,000-£70,000 depending on experience + benefits.
