Client Accountant (P/Q)

Part Qualified Accountant - 28,000 - 35,000.00 - Reading


My client, an established Accounting firm based in Reading - is looking to recruit a part-qualified Accountant to join their large Finance team in Reading.

This role would suit candidates coming from a practice background and looking to grow their career within a service led finance environment.

Key responsibilities:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts
*Preparation of budgets and forecasts
*Preparation of financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS
*Processing of additional primary accounting entries for purchase/ sales ledger entries & Cash management
*Bank reconciliations
*Preparation and posting of payroll journals, nominal journals, fixed asset register, accruals and prepayment schedules
*Assistance with VAT registration & returns
*Assisting with new business client set up and tax control
*Posting of payroll journals and nominal ledger
*Regular liaison with auditors

Skills and experience required:
*The ideal candidate will be actively studying and part qualified CIMA or ACCA or ACA.
*Practical experience gained within a client delivery environment combined with the ability to manage multiple deadlines is crucial
*Experience of the full end-to-end management accounting cycle
*Exposure to the production of financial statements, statutory returns and/or audit would be advantageous
