The opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified accountant with a strong commercial skill-set to join a high-growth hotel group in a financial analyst position based in London.
Client Details
My client is a high-growth hotel group based in central London with sites across the UK and strong international expansion plans. Having raised further funding in recent months they are set to push the growth of their portfolio. Within this growth they have been able to promote internally and are now seeking to bring in a newly-qualified accountant into a re-scoped financial analyst role.
Description
As the financial analyst in this hotel group you will take ownership for the management reporting, commercial analysis, and driving efficient links between the hotel management system and finance. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Ownership for month end reporting, including preparation of full board back
-Lead role in budgeting and forecasting, with key budget holder engagement
-Driving a clear link and efficient download of hotel management information to finance reporting
-Undertaking analysis into key business drivers and room rates to maximise performance and profitability
-Challenging the CEO and MD on business proposals with robust financial stress testing
-Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
Profile
As a strong applicant for this London-based financial analyst role you will:
-Be a newly qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA preferred)
-Demonstrate a strong understanding of management reporting process
-Show an ability to implement and drive KPI and analytical reporting
-Possess strong interpersonal skills with an ability to hold conversations at all levels of business
-Prior exposure to a retail/hospitality environment is advantageous
Job Offer
The offer to the successful financial analyst will be between £40,000-£45,000 + bonus, pension (up to 10% contribution), and holiday. You will also be joining a high-growth environment with an FD committed to personnel development and career progression.
