Financial Planning:

• Work closely with the COO to develop the annual budget, financial forecasts and targets at the corporate, functional and country level
• Develop corporate financial and tax strategies
• Develop and track performance measures to support the company’s strategic direction and employee incentive programs

Financial Operations:

• Manage the accounting team (in-house and outsourced) including all policies and procedures
• Support the introduction and subsequent operation of an innovative employee incentive and benefits plan
• Key to company growth: Conduct financial analysis and support the development of new business models, whether for new markets, new concepts as well as for any partnerships, joint ventures or acquisitions
• Provide other financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Responsible for investing company funds as necessary
• Shape, refine and maintain the newly implemented Finance IT system
• Maintain all banking relationships

Reporting and Risk Management - at both country and corporate level:

• Prepare regular financial statements for the CEO and the Senior Management Team (SMT)
• Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
• Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
• Calculate variances from the budget and flag significant risks and issues to the SMT
• Provide for a system of management cost reports
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile, including the need for currency or commodity hedging
• Construct and monitor reliable control systems
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Work with Legal to ensure that the company complies with all regulatory and auditor requirements, including adequate record keeping across all countries
