Plant Accountant

We are working with a global manufacturing business to recruit for a Plant Accountant. The Plant Accountant is responsible for ensuring cost analysis, period-end close and reporting activities are completed in a timely manner for the site. Whilst also providing an insight on the performance of the site, highlighting areas for improvement and making sure these actions are followed through.

We are looking for an individual who is confident with the ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across all areas of the business. Also, the Plant Accountant will approach every task with enthusiasm and undertake work meticulously.

Responsibilities will include; completing product costing process, general ledger cost control, reviewing and approving monthly accruals, lead the preparation of site budgets and forecasts, review department costs with budget holders, KPI & statistical reporting, creating manufactured item product cost and maintain standard conversion costs for costing and pricing.

You will have previous experience of working within a similar role with a wealth costing experience and strong analytical skills. You will be actively working towards a professional qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or be newly qualified.
